Aaaaaah!!!!!
That's right,..it's me,..Gary Reisman,..sittin in my ultra-ergo chair at work, where I do all those graphics you see during and after the credits on the NBC Television Network

This is a photo of me at my desk last year (and somehow it makes me look fat!). -BUT I've now moved into a bigger and better office downstairs (with much beefier equipment). I'll have a picture up sometime soon. (at the rate I'm updating my homepage,..that might be some time)
NBC-2000, the unit I work in, is responsible for all the unique "Promotainment" you see during the credits of all the primetime shows (including Saturdays's TNBC block). We also do some of the high impact promo's and bumpers shown throughout the day. While I've done everything from creation of the credits, to the actual editing of the spots, my main role is production of graphics and effects that enhance the spots.
But I also work on special projects, such as the creation of original Peacock Sweepers (those 7 second spots that air out of the credits). I've also had the opportunity to work on some show opens -the UFO at the beginning of 3rd Rock from the Sun is mine, and I also did the entire opening for the short lasting show "Mommies" a few years ago.
For all you tech heads wondering what all that equipment is(from left to right:) Expensive 20" Sony NTSC monitor, 200meg Syquest, 8100/80 140/1 gig, 2 gig Array, 20" Monitor, Big Phat Wacom tablet, Xaos Slinky, Me, (you can't see the modem that sits behind me,.but honestly - I never use it!), a few dozen various Techno CD's, a dozen Syquest carts, an overly expensive waveform vector scopemathang, router control, the ultimate fiber-optic light from the 70's, and the one and only prototype quicktime compliant Gizmo2000 peacock television!
In the new office downstairs,..I've still got all that Equipment, but now I'm on a Apple Dual 180MP, with a Media 100 system and a 9 GIG array.
and since I have almost no radio reception, the Music CD's are starting to build up.

Go Back.
